Thanks all - I am going to use this particular character as one of the examples in my next book that will show you how to design and rig a character in Flash. It kills 2 birds with 1 stone for me as it also forces me to create original stuff (which I never seem to have time for). BradFitz - can’t wait for your new site - drum roll please

Awesome Stuff Chris! When do you think this new book is going to come out? Is it just going to cover Character Animation? If so that would be great!

Wow, really nice design! I think this is one of your most appealing characters I’ve seen yet! I hope you do alot of FBF with this, I think alot of tweening might abuse the design abit. This design looks to have tons of potential!

Thanks Stephen! I appreciate your comments immensely. Yeah, I agree with you here - the next step is to create some animation tests (walk cycle, blinks and gestures, etc…). I’ll post my progress.

Thanks essie, yes I am planning to do a lot more video tutorials this spring with Colin Smith (photoshopcafe.com) and Lynda.com. Some very in-depth videos and several hours worth as well. Also, we are planning on doing another video just on Flash CS4 at the time it will be released - which is an unknown date and probably not until late summer/early fall.
