what are you doing to make your outline move and then you paint a shadow like at the end with the nose and rear end.

Hi Aaron,
what I am doing is using the Ink Bottle tool to apply a stroke around the shape. Then I double-click the stroke to select all of its segments. While selected, i use the arrow keys to nudge it off-center. Then I can grab the fill color of the shape itself, mix a slightly darker tone and fill the portion of the shape that the stroke is intersecting. Since the stroke is still selected, all I have to do is hit the Delete key and voile – shadow :)

Hi Chris,

I have just been to my local library to get some inspiration from art/design/digital creativity books for my new 2010 project and stumbled across one of your books… Cheat:CS3 and on my way to amazon to get the CS4 as really enjoyed the read.

A new project of mine is underway and in the planning stages at the moment and I am gathering content and people to be involved.

I would really appreaiate it if you could send me an email to joemulbs@hotmail.com so I could send you more information about it.

Love your work and look forward to explaining more,

Regards,

Joe

Hey Chris, glad to see the character in full color. Looks very good.
Do I notice a slight change in your drawing / coloring process? if I remember right, you’ve use to play with simple shapes to work over a sketch.

I do think the tablet makes this process easier, I see you working your magic like a wizard. He,he. It’s funny how you stop to correct outlines.

Now that I think of, it’s easier to animate a character drawn with simple shapes if you’re going with the puppet animation style. Makes perfect sense.

Cheers

Very amazing chris!!, the final result is really great. In the video the process seems easy, but I know it requires a lot of experience and skills. Keep the great work!!

Thanks Chris,
I have actually been wondering how to make a stroke on something that i draw with the brush, I had no clue. I am really a beginner currently studying at Bowling Green State University in Virtual Communication Technology. I love the web, and I would like to be able to design in all medias to incorporate them into web.
