Let me clear away some of the cob webs first….
Ok – that’s better. This may go as unread assuming nobody returns to this desert of a blog. I deserve the lack of traffic I’m sure I am getting (or not getting). But my absence has been for good reason – another book title on the way. I’m about 75% through production with the deadline hovering steady over my shoulders. Once it’s done I’ll be in a better place in terms of regular blog posts but for now bear with me as I have been spending every available minute on the book. It just has to be that way.
But the book is only a portion of what’s been on my plate. I have been updating my portfolio site over at mudbubble and starting a totally new blog that focuses on my long music career (very early stages).
I’ve been to Columbia Missouri for Myra Ferguson’s Adobe Camp and had an amazing time.
I’ve been busy experimenting with Unity as well as Toon Boom, Flash CS6 and Adobe Edge. I’ve also parted ways with enough of my hard earned cash to replace the 1st generation iPad with the new iPad (3) and very busy downloading drawing and animation apps. Wacom also sent me an Inkling to play with (thanks Joe) and I’ll be writing about that soon as well.
I’m simplifying the design of this very blog site because I’ve proved to myself that an overly-complicated site design just means it will never get finished before I lose interest.
That’s all for now – I must get back to the book, but I leave you with some sketches and “paintings” from some of my favorite iPad drawing apps.
